Trixie Camp 2002
Saturday
Hangover free, thanks to Dana and her "pickle juice" cure, I'm ready for another fun-filled day. After another great Ferguson's breakfast (where we serenaded Mark yet again, knowing he couldn't claim deafness or that he was asleep!), we were off to Bull Shoals Lake, to explore an 1890's village, another cave and to picnic and swim by the lake. Unfortunately, the lake was "too full" (???!!!), but we had a fantastic time anyway. Ask Dani R. to teach you the "Rattlin' Bog" song and dance sometime!
Later in the early evening, we went to the "Top O' the Ozarks Tower", where we had a stunning, 50-mile view of the surrounding area. I never knew Arkansas was that beautiful!
And to top a perfectly perfect day, we had dinner at Gaston's Resort, right on the banks of the White River. The only thing better than the scrumptious food was the awesome company! There WAS a brief moment of controversy when Kyrie and I hotly debated the existence of a picture of Phil Donohue (I didn't think it existed. Probably, it SHOULDN'T exist, but that's another story!). But after a brief slap-fest, peace prevailed.
Back at the cabins, we gathered yet again for smores and singing. Much later, my cabinmates and I had our own giggle-n-gab fest, none of us wanting to admit it was our last evening together. SNIFF!
